The Eurostars Palace makes no attempt to blend into its surroundings. Six storeys of contemporary white architecture on the Paseo de la Victoria — clean façade, straight lines, geometric volumes — in deliberate contrast to the classical city nearby. Opened in 2008, this 5-star hotel has 162 rooms (between 27 and 35 m²) with views over the city or the Jardines de la Victoria. Interior design plays on immaculate white, dark wood, and accent colours.

The Rooms

Rooms are spacious by historic-centre standards and fully fitted out: king or twin beds with quality mattresses and premium linen, full blackout curtains, and air conditioning that handles Córdoba's summer heat without issues. Bathrooms have separate shower and bath in the superior categories, and all come with quality toiletries. Some rooms have private balconies — unusual for central Córdoba, where most historic buildings cannot accommodate them. The suites have separate sitting areas and good views over the Paseo gardens. Free Wi-Fi throughout; the connection is fast and consistent.

Rooftop Pool and Spa

The rooftop pool is open in summer and looks over the city and surrounding hills. The pool bar handles cocktails and light snacks. The spa in the basement has a jacuzzi, hammam, and a well-equipped fitness room with cardio machines and free weights, with massages and treatments available by appointment. This is one of the most complete wellness setups in central Córdoba outside of the five-palace Las Casas de la Judería.

For a different thermal experience — historically grounded rather than contemporary — the Hammam Al-Andalus in the Judería offers traditional Arab baths in a properly old building.

Restaurant La Victoria

Chef Javier Dávila runs Restaurant La Victoria, cooking contemporary Andalusian cuisine with local produce. The menu changes with the seasons. The breakfast buffet is generous and varied, with a good spread of local products alongside the standard international options. For something more traditional, El Churrasco and Bodegas Mezquita are a short walk away in the Judería.

Location

The Paseo de la Victoria is a broad, garden-lined avenue between the modern centre and the Historic Centre. The Mezquita-Catedral is 5–8 minutes on foot. The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos is 10 minutes away. The Royal Stables — worth visiting for the equestrian shows — are directly across the street. Evenings here are quiet. Paid parking on site.

Other Luxury Options

For something more central and traditionally styled, the Eurostars Conquistador sits right beside the Mezquita. The NH Collection Amistad Córdoba is an 18th-century mansion with contemporary rooms in the heart of the Judería. For Roman ruins under the restaurant floor, Hospes Palacio del Bailío is in a class of its own.

Guide: Where to stay in Córdoba?

Discover the best neighborhoods and our tips

Reporter notebook

Insider tips

Practical observations gathered the way a local journalist would keep them: short, specific, and more useful than brochure copy.

Room tip

Ask for a room with a private balcony — unusual in central Córdoba

Most historic-centre hotels can't offer balconies due to the old building stock. The Palace's contemporary design means some rooms have private outdoor space overlooking the Paseo gardens. Specify when booking.

Best time

Use the hammam spa after a full day of walking

The basement spa has a jacuzzi, hammam and fitness room. After eight hours walking the historic centre in summer heat, the thermal circuit is genuinely restorative. Book a massage slot at check-in — they fill up.

Money tip

The horse show is across the street — no taxi needed

The Royal Stables are directly opposite the hotel on Paseo de la Victoria. You can watch the equestrian show at 9 pm and be back in the hotel bar ten minutes later. No transport costs, no parking hassle.

Frequently asked questions

Is breakfast included at Eurostars Palace?

Breakfast is available as a buffet at Restaurant La Victoria, with a good spread of local products and international options. Whether it's included depends on your rate — check when booking.

Is parking available?

Yes, paid parking is available on site. This is one of the few central Córdoba hotels with its own parking, which is particularly useful given the hotel's location on Paseo de la Victoria and proximity to the historic pedestrianised zone.

How far is it from the Mezquita-Catedral?

5 to 8 minutes on foot. The hotel is on Paseo de la Victoria, between the modern centre and the historic quarter. The walk through the Jardines de la Victoria is pleasant even in summer evenings.

When is the rooftop pool open?

The rooftop pool is open in summer, typically from June through September. The spa with hammam and jacuzzi is available year-round.

Is the hotel suitable for families?

Yes. The 162 rooms are spacious by central Córdoba standards (27-35 m²), and the hotel has a pool, spa, and restaurant. The contemporary layout is more family-friendly than many historic-building hotels in the area.
