How to avoid crowds in Córdoba
Mezquita crowd tips
- Free Mon–Sat 8:30–9:30am free entry window, and tour groups have not arrived yet
- Best Weekday mornings have 60–70% fewer visitors than weekend afternoons
- Quiet January–February: almost no queues at all
- Good Evening visits (last entry 6pm in summer) are less crowded than midday

Peak periods: May (Patio Festival), Holy Week (March/April), Puente de Octubre long weekend. Lowest: November–February and August (too hot for most visitors).
Weekday vs weekend
Significantly fewer visitors at all major sights. Best for the Mezquita, Alcázar, and Judía. Morning visits are especially quiet.
Saturday is the busiest day for the Mezquita, Alcázar and Judía. Sunday morning can be good, as many day-trippers from Seville and Madrid have not arrived yet.
